We done it again! |
As with last year each member was sent 10 tickets to buy and-or sell.
On 15th August 2009, the Committee gathered to launch the tickets and with full sun and a steady WESTLY wind the balloons skuttled off up into the blue beyond.
It was not long before the tickets started to trickle back, Bournemouth, Baisingstoke, Reigate, Isle of sheppy and finally Germany. The winning ticket was found just outside Kiel on the North sea coast.
The winner was Member Mr Bob MacAlister of Wareham who has been sent his prize cheque.
A large THANK YOU to all who took part in 2009.
The race was sponsored again by The President ~ Lord Normanton and our sincere thanks for his help and assistance in making for a bit of sport and a good fund raiser towards our 28th Annual Dinner this year.
