| Who is Geedon Cartouche? | What does Geedon do? |
| Geedon Cartouche is the fine upstanding military figures you see above. Geedon is an imaginary soldier - a person who is a figment of the Association's imagination. There is a little bit of Geedon in all of us, and if you have served in the British Army, you have a little bit more than most! If you have served in the Household Cavalry, there is a lot of Geedon in you --'cos that's wot it's about!' said Geedon. | Geedon helps the Association by telling his stories in each of our newsletters. He has a 'country cousin' called Clarance Cartouche, a Dorzet yokel type, nice but sort of dim - but not all of the time - if you know what we mean? Together they help raise funds for our sponsored charity each year, East Holton Riding Centre near Wareham in Dorset. This splendid charity is part of Riding for the Disabled |

| To date, over the last five years, Geedon and Clarance have helped the Association membership raise the odd smile and over £5000 in donations from events like the Annual Dinners. And to assist in the fund rasing the Gentlemen Trumpeters of the Association have raised over £1200 of this money by playing trumpet as various events and speaking engagements around the country. If you see Geedon, do say hello and pass on your regards to Clarance too!  |
Geedon was promoted to Lance Corporal a year or so ago, so perhaps he may get more promotion? Or demotion? There was a rumour that he was collecting his stories together to write a book, and that is just what he has done! Geedon - the works a book of ALL the expolits of Geedon, It is 96 pages, paperback and available ONLY from the Association, priced at £6.50 post paid UK and EU.
